Direct factory supply of high-performance architectural luminaires engineered for municipal, urban, and industrial deployment globally.
The outdoor lighting paradigm is transitioning rapidly from basic illumination to highly networked, energy-optimized municipal nodes. As urbanization accelerates globally, municipal planners and international EPC contractors demand systems that achieve high luminous efficacy (exceeding 140 lm/W), lower overall operational expenditure (OPEX), and seamless integration with emerging IoT systems. Technology is shifting from traditional HID sources to Solid-State Lighting (SSL) setups governed by intelligent power networks.
Modern architectural lighting now integrates dark-sky compliance principles, aiming to limit upward light emission to less than 1% (U0 rating). Simultaneously, developments in optical materials, such as non-yellowing PMMA lenses and tempered safety glass, allow luminaire configurations to sustain severe environments without losing transmission efficiency. Professional specifiers require structural components manufactured from premium grade die-cast aluminum alloys (e.g., ADC12 or LM24) with anti-corrosive multi-stage electrostatic coatings, making them resistant to heavy atmospheric moisture, salinity in coastal regions, and extreme heat cycles.
For engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) professionals, along with wholesale distributors, evaluating high-quality outdoor lighting manufacturers requires looking past raw lumen output. Key parameters include long-term reliability and compliance with regional safety frameworks. Key procurement metrics include:
True architectural installations demand a minimum of IP66 ingress protection to resist high-pressure water jets and particulates, paired with IK08 to IK10 mechanical impact resistance to prevent vandalism and atmospheric damage.
Utilizing high-integrity, thermal-conductive heat sink paths ensuring junctions remain under 75°C. This directly helps maintain a stable L80B10 operating life exceeding 100,000 hours.
Diverse asymmetric optics (Type I, II, III, IV, and V) optimize light distribution along road shapes, minimizing spill light while maximizing spacing distances between lighting poles.
Austar Lighting Co., Ltd. addresses these requirements by integrating design and manufacturing processes in our Ningbo facility. We carry out precision engineering from casting to driver burn-in. Cooperating with specialized Italian lighting designers ensures that our catalog offers updated visual styling while maintaining robust internal components, meeting the needs of global public utilities and private developments alike.
Highlighting high-efficiency luminaires optimized for urban roads, public squares, and residential applications.
Located in the lighting manufacturing hub of Ningbo, China, Austar Lighting runs a vertically integrated production plant. Established in 2003, our facility spans 10,000 square meters of specialized manufacturing space. We house three semi-automated assembly lines, two LED aging lines, and a high-throughput fully automatic powder spray coating line. This production setup is backed by our heavy die-casting department, utilizing 1000T, 700T, and 300T die-casting machinery. This allows us to manufacture complex aluminum housings with high dimensional accuracy and thermal performance.
Our quality control system operates under the ISO9001-14000 Quality and Environmental Management System. Every production run undergoes complete inspection. Critical parameters are checked in our on-site laboratories using specialized analytical instruments:
Because of our strict quality controls, our entire product range carries ENEC, CB, CE, and LVD certifications. This allows our products to be integrated into regulated markets across Europe, Asia-Pacific, and the Americas.

Additionally, we carry out detailed evaluations using secondary testing tools like the spectroradiometer and shock testers (illustrated in the factory views below, showing our production and test facilities).

A comprehensive range of high-efficiency luminaires designed for public spaces, roadway intersections, and architectural lighting projects.
Austar Lighting designs and delivers custom products across multiple sectors:
Safety on major roads requires consistent lighting levels, minimal glare, and resistance to environmental stress. Austar's LED Street Light Series features high-output light engines with asymmetric beam patterns. These systems provide uniform distribution and help prevent driver fatigue, lowering operating temperatures to extend overall lifetime.
Public squares and historic areas benefit from lighting that coordinates with their architectural character. Our Traditional and Classical Street Lighting Series, designed in collaboration with Italian industrial designers, blends classic aesthetics with high-efficiency LEDs. This provides energy savings while preserving the historic appearance of municipal sites.
Modern landscapes require lighting that highlights structural design while ensuring safety. Our LED Garden Light and Bollard Light Series feature compact, low-glare optics. They are designed to direct light downward to meet Dark Sky standards, reducing light spill in green spaces and residential communities.
Austar is developing technologies to align with the future requirements of municipal planners and smart city networks:
With exports reaching 55 countries, Austar manages shipping logistics from our Ningbo base, close to the port of Ningbo. This proximity simplifies ocean transport to major ports globally, with air cargo options available for urgent projects. We support OEMs, ODMs, and regional distributors through complete design services, custom casting configurations, and full photometric testing files (IES/LDT) to assist engineering teams during layout design.
