Engineered for architectural elegance, superior thermal management, and reliable photometric performance across global municipal networks.
Modern municipal development mandates street lighting solutions that seamlessly combine optical precision, mechanical reliability, and network connectivity. As global smart cities seek to reduce energy overheads and carbon footprints, the demand for modular, highly efficient outdoor LED fixtures has surged. Standard legacy lighting solutions fail to address the complexity of modern smart city grids, leading to elevated replacement costs, light pollution, and inefficient grid operations.
At Austar Lighting Co., Ltd., we resolve these challenges through integrated mechanical and optical engineering. Our outdoor street lighting fixtures are built around the concept of total cost of ownership (TCO) reduction. By leveraging die-cast aluminum alloys (ADC12), programmable IP66/IP67 rated drivers, and high-efficacy LED modules (up to 160 lm/W), we build luminaires that offer reliable operation for over 100,000 hours under extreme environmental conditions.
By coordinating with urban planners and municipal contractors, we deliver tailored light distribution curves (Type I, II, III, and IV optics) that ensure optimal roadway visibility, minimized glare, and dark-sky compliance. Our technology supports the global shift toward smart cities by incorporating standardized Zhaga and NEMA sockets, enabling plug-and-play IoT controller integrations.
Established in 2003, Austar is a leading Chinese lighting brand operating at the intersection of European design and state-of-the-art manufacturing.
Located in Ningbo, China—one of the world's primary lighting manufacturing hubs—Austar Lighting Co., Ltd. operates a modern 10,000 square meter factory designed for vertical integration. With a workforce of more than 100 skilled specialists, including a dedicated engineering and quality assurance division, we maintain a consistent annual capacity of over 150,000 outdoor light fixtures. Our production encompasses LED Street Light Series, LED Garden Light Series, Traditional Urban Lighting Series, Classical Street Lighting, Bollard Lights, and High-Performance Spotlights.
Austar’s global competitiveness is anchored in our strategic partnership with Italian lighting designers. This collaboration aligns our design aesthetics with contemporary European urban requirements, ensuring that each fixture is visually striking while delivering high photometric performance. We operate as a 100% export-oriented enterprise, supplying municipalities, utilities, and commercial developers across North America, Europe, Australia, and East Asia.
Inside our Ningbo manufacturing plant: where rigorous engineering meets automated production protocols.

Austar utilizes high-tonnage cold-chamber die-casting machines (1000T, 700T, and 300T) to construct robust aluminum alloy housings. These materials offer superior thermal dissipation characteristics, preventing the degradation of LED chips and drivers. The housings are finished via a full automatic electrostatic powder spray line, offering outstanding UV and corrosion resistance suitable for coastal installations.
Our assembly footprint includes 3 flexible manual/semi-automated assembly lines, running alongside 2 specialized LED aging testing lines. In compliance with ISO9001 and ISO14001 Quality and Environmental Management Systems, every product undergoes 100% burn-in testing under load to eliminate early-stage failures before packaging and container loading.
To verify compliance with global safety standards, Austar operates a fully equipped internal testing laboratory. Our capabilities include:
All finished products hold recognized safety certifications, including ENEC, CB, CE, and LVD. This certified compliance minimizes legal and financial risks for importers, engineering contractors, and government buyers.

Adapting advanced optical configurations to match localized climate challenges and architectural standards.
Designed to deliver high uniformity (Ui > 0.4) and low glare rating (G-class compliance) on multilane expressways. High-output engines combined with Type III precision optics reduce spacing requirements between poles, drastically lowering total municipal installation expenses.
Our Italian-designed urban amenity and park luminaires combine retro and futuristic themes. Offering rich color rendering (CRI > 80) and warm color temperatures (2700K - 3000K), these luminaires create welcoming nighttime spaces that support local commercial activity.
Engineered to withstand coastal corrosion and harsh chemical vapor environments. Incorporating 316-grade stainless steel hardware, electrophoretic base primers, and specialized silicone gaskets, these fixtures resist salt mist spray and maintain IP66 integrity indefinitely.
