Austar Lighting Profile

Austar Lighting Co., Ltd. is recognized as a leading manufacturer in Ningbo, China. Established in 2003, we operate a state-of-the-art 10,000㎡ production facility with over 100 highly skilled employees. We specialize in producing innovative outdoor LED post top fixtures and architectural garden lighting engineered for municipal and commercial deployments globally.

Advanced Manufacturing

Our infrastructure includes high-tonnage die-casting machinery (1000T, 700T, and 300T), a fully automated electrostatic powder coating line, three robust assembly lines, and two specialized LED driver aging systems. This vertically integrated manufacturing guarantees rigorous mechanical tolerances and reliable thermal performance across all luminaire ranges.

Italian Design & Global Compliance

By collaborating closely with leading Italian industrial designers, we fuse European design sensibilities with precision Chinese engineering. Our components meet the strict standards required for ENEC, CB, CE, and LVD certifications. We strictly operate under the ISO9001-14000 Quality Management and Environmental Systems to service high-end OEM/ODM projects.

Pioneering Urban Luminaire Solutions

In the era of smart city infrastructure, street and pathway lighting is no longer just about visibility. Modern urban environments demand highly efficient, low-glare, dark-sky compliant luminaires that harmonize with architectural landscapes during the day and provide safe, energy-efficient illumination at night. Austar Lighting offers an expansive portfolio of specialized systems to address this demand, including:

  • LED Garden Light Series
  • LED Street Light Series
  • Traditional Urban Lighting Series
  • Classical Street Lighting Series
  • Bollard Light Series
  • Spot Light Series

Our global clients benefit from short manufacturing lead times, robust quality assurance verified through in-house labs, and dedicated technical after-sales support. We ensure that every custom request, from architectural modification to custom photometric distribution (Type II, III, IV, or V), is executed with high engineering fidelity.

Global Commercial & Industrial Landscape of LED Post Top Lighting

The outdoor LED post top market is transitioning through a critical growth phase. Driven by regulatory mandates such as the European Union’s Ecodesign Directive, Dark Sky initiatives in North America, and global Smart City frameworks, public and private developers are upgrading traditional metal halide and high-pressure sodium (HPS) fixtures. Modern municipal architectures demand luminaires that yield higher luminous efficacy (reaching up to 160 lm/W), have a service life exceeding L90B10 at 100,000 hours, and minimize blue light hazard emissions in public parks, greenways, and residential sectors.

"Globally, smart city integrations demand that every outdoor luminaire is more than a light source. It is a node. In 2025 and beyond, IoT sensors, Zhaga Book 18 interfaces, and adaptive lighting controllers are standard requirements rather than premium features."

Suppliers are challenged to balance mechanical robustness and thermal management. At Austar, our custom-engineered thermal heat sinks leverage advanced thermal simulation software. This ensures junction temperatures (Tj) remain well below critical limits, preventing early luminous decay of the high-performance Lumileds or Cree LED matrices. Additionally, our toolless access enclosures allow simplified maintenance, drastically lowering operating expenditures for city maintenance crews.

Technology Roadmap: The Future of Architectural Streetscapes

Austar Lighting remains committed to a structured technical roadmap designed to push the boundaries of energy efficiency, digital integration, and circular economy design principles.

01

Advanced Optical Tuning & BUG Rating Optimization

Developing advanced multi-layer PMMA lenses featuring custom Type I, II, III, and V light distributions. Our goal is to achieve near-zero back-light, uplight, and glare (BUG ratings), completely eliminating light pollution in sensitive ecological zones.

02

NEMA & Zhaga Smart Node Interoperability

Integrating Standard NEMA 7-pin and Zhaga Book 18 receptacles into post top architectures. This allows cities to quickly mount photodetectors, motion sensors, and IoT-based telemanagement nodes operating on LoRaWAN, NB-IoT, or Zigbee communication protocols.

03

Biodiverse & Human-Centric Lighting Spectrum

Designing dynamic, amber-shifted (1800K - 2200K) and tunable white color systems. This technology shifts CCT dynamically over the night to safeguard local wildlife migration patterns, reduce melatonin disruption in citizens, and enhance architectural beauty.

Macro Solutions: Integrated Applications by Area

We deliver application-oriented luminaire configurations designed to resolve complex site-specific architectural issues:

Municipal Public Parks

High-efficiency LED post tops equipped with asymmetric lenses to focus illumination on walkways, eliminating light spill into surrounding vegetation. Fitted with 3000K warm CCT to support natural biological cycles.

Commercial Plazas

High-output post top fixtures (up to 120W) with 360-degree radial symmetric distribution (Type V). Delivering bright, uniform footcandle levels to enhance retail visibility and pedetrian safety.

Historical Quarters

Integrating state-of-the-art COB LED arrays inside traditional decorative lanterns (such as our Farol Villa or Villa Pro series). Blending classical styling with cutting-edge optical performance.
